These are the RIO and Copa chairs we’ve personalized for 26 years: backpack chairs, lay-flats, hi-boys, and rockers, embroidered with a name, a monogram, or a family “EST.” line. Pick the chair, then set the font, thread color, and inscription in the configurator.
The chairs
- Backpack chairs by RIO — straps on like a pack, hands free for the cooler. Basic, hi-back, premium lace-up, and aluminum lace-up models.
- Copa position chairs by JGR — the classic low-slung beach recliner in 1- to 5-position models, from the Big Papa to the kid-height Junior lay-flat.
- Hi-seat and mid-height chairs — easier to get out of, better for watching the water than lying in it.
- Soft Arm Quad Rocker — the porch rocker that goes to the beach.
Thread beats salt air
Beach gear lives a hard life — sun, salt, sand, and the back of a hot car. Embroidery is stitched into the fabric, so it doesn’t peel or fade like a printed label. The name usually outlasts the chair, which is why repeat customers order the same inscription on the next one.

How long does a personalized beach chair take?
In-stock chairs with embroidery ship within 2–3 business days; plain chairs ship in 1–2.
What can the embroidery say?
Names, monograms, nicknames, boat names, “The Petersons — EST. 2009” — the configurator shows the lines available on each chair and previews the layout before you buy.
Will the embroidery hold up in the sun and salt?
Yes — it’s stitched thread, not a printed transfer. It won’t peel, and it fades far slower than the canvas around it.
Can I match a chair I bought years ago?
Usually, yes. Every design we stitch is kept on file with a design ID — contact us with your name or order and we’ll match the font and layout.
